    quadratic equation problem

    Given m and 2 are the roots of the quadratic equation px^2-p(3x-1)=3x-1,where m and p are constants.Find the value of m and p.

    If they are "roots", use substitution.



    Substitute x = 2
    Substitute x = m

    Solve for p.

    One probably should point out that this is linear in 'p' and, without too much difficulty, is solved for 'p'. After that, one could substitute many values for 'x' with relative ease.
