Can someone please help me solve:
log(3+x)-log(x-3)=log3
Hi Eshawnky,
$\displaystyle \log(x+3)-\log(x-3)=\log 3$
Use this property: $\displaystyle \log a - \log b = \log \frac{a}{b}$
$\displaystyle \log \frac{x+3}{x-3}=\log 3$
$\displaystyle \frac{x+3}{x-3}=3$
$\displaystyle x+3=3(x-3)$
$\displaystyle x+3=3x-9$
$\displaystyle 12=2x$
$\displaystyle x=6$
