    Yr 11 maths question. quadratic

    2(&x)^2 - 9(&x) + 4=0


    find solutions of x

    sorry im new to the forums and i substituted the square root sign for &

    i assume thats how you right powers as in ^2

    Replace &x with n.
    Then solve for n in the usual way (factorise or use quad formula)
    Then replace n with &x and solve for x.
