Value of composite function
• The function f(x) has the following values:
X=1,y=4
X=2,y=5
X=3,y=3
X=4,y=2
X=5,y=1
And g(x) has the following values
X=1,y=3
X=2,y=5
X=3,y=1
X=4,y=4
X=5,y=2
Calculate f°g(2)
• Let f(x)=(x^2)+1 and g(x)=1/x
Calculate f°g(3)

$f^.g(x)$is the same as $f(g(x))$

therefore since $g(2) = 5$ then $f(5) = 1$

the next one

$f(g(x)) = \left(\frac{1}{x}\right)^2+ 1$

so just substitute in x=3
