    Exclamation Solving x with Trig Functions

    Sec x = 2.4, solve with a calculator... I am ashamed to say that I have no idea how to do this and would like to know how. I tried x = 1/ cos-(2.4), but that is not within the domain and will not work. So could some one point me in the right direction?

    sec (x) = 2.4, so \frac{1}{cos(x)} = 2.4

    Multiply by cos(x) and divide by 2.4:

    cos(x) = \frac{1}{2.4}

    Solve from here.
