What have you tried here?

3. I've drawn the cylinder with radius 3 dm but I'm not exactly sure what they mean by movable piston.

I guess it is just a part sticking out with height h?

I've also gotten the area of the circular base - A= pi * r^2. = pi * 9 = 28 dm^2.

So volume of the cylinder is then 280 liters.

Would the answer then by V = 280 - 2T?

I think we can kinda think about this like its a hypodermic needle. I think thats whats going on here, where the piston represents the plunger of the syringe.

So since the piston is already pulled back 10dm, I think what we have here is

$V(t)=\pi{r}^2h(t)$ where $h(t)=10+2t$

So, $V(t)=\pi{r}^2(10+2t)$

5. Yeah, that make's perfect sense. Thanks a lot.
