$\displaystyle \frac{a+3}{3}+\frac{a-3}{6}=5$
is the answer to this question 9?
Thats what i get
$\displaystyle
\frac{a}{3} + 1 + \frac{a}{6} - \frac{1}{2} = 5
$
$\displaystyle
\frac{a}{3} + \frac{a}{6} = \frac{9}{2}
$
$\displaystyle
\frac{3a}{6} = \frac{9}{2}
$
$\displaystyle
a = 9
