How would I go about finding the equation in x and y for the curve given by the parametric equations x=e[neg. t power], y=-2t, t in R?

I will assume you mean:

x=e^(-t), y=-2t

then:

ln(x)=-t, which we may substitute inro the second equation to get:

y=2 ln(x)

or:

y=ln(x^2).
