    Lightbulb Find the level of sound

    the level of sound B in decibels with an intensity of I is B=10log(I/I0) where I0=10^-12 watt/m^2, correspondingly roughly to the faintest sound that can be heard by the human ear. Find the level of sound B of a snowmobile with I=10^-2 watt/m^2.

    B=10\ log(\frac{I}{I_0})

    B=10\ log(\frac{10^-2}{10^{-12}})

    B=10\ log(10^{10})

    B=10*10

    B=100\ decibels
