Thread: Could you please, please, help me to graph these inequalities.

Hello. How are you guys doing?

I don't have idea about how to graph in excel or word.. could you please help me to graph these inequalities?

1) 3x+4y>4 and x-2y<-1

2) x/2+y/4<1

3) 4x+1y ≥. 26 and 2x+y ≥18
4)x+5y≥ and x+y ≥ 5

I did not know word had a graphing package? I think you mean graph in excel and paste such charts into Word.

Most of these are in intercept form. All you need to do is find the x-intercept by making y = 0 and then find the y-intercept by making x = 0.

Here's an example.

Now join the points and find the required region.

Thank you pickslides... could you please help me to graph those inequalities in excel??? I already solved the inequalities, but I don't know how to graph them, for instance, this is how I solved the following inequality:

4x+1y ≥26
2x+y ≥8
X+1/4y=6.5
X+1/2y=9
-1/4y=-2.5
Y=10
X=9-5=4

And you were right about inequality number 4, i forgot to type a number..
3) x+5y≥ 9 and x+y ≥ 5
