    Synthetic division

    If x=1 is a root of x^3+2x^2-x-2, use synthetic devision to factor the polynomial completely and list all real solutions of the equation.

    You've divided out the given root using synthetic division, applied the Quadratic Formula to what remained, and... then what? Where are you stuck?

    hahah never mind i just figured it out .

    (x+2)(x-1)(x+1); x= -2,-1,1

    man its been a while since i did synthetic division. its all coming back to me now.
