    Asymptotes

    hey i would like to know if this is right if not correct me.

    4x+1
    -----
    2x-6

    what i did is 2x-6=0
    2x=6
    x=3
    excuse my bad math skills.
    it is a vertical asymptote right?

    Yes, vertical asymptotes occur when the denominator is equal to zero.

    You do realise that there's also a horizontal asymptote, right?
