    Multiply both numerator and denominator by 4i.

    Do it then tell us what you have

    i got 12i-24i^2/-16i^2

    the i^2 means i squared

    you are correct . But you should also know that i^2=-1

    Try using that in simplifying your equation .

    ok so after I did that I got 12i-24/16? is that correct?
