Any polynomial with 3 roots has a degree 3

So, you have the roots at x=1, x=-1 and x=-7

Carry over so that you have

(x-1), (x+1) and (x+7), these are the 3 factors of your desired polynomial so just multiply them to get your answer.

$\displaystyle (x-1)(x+1)(x+7)$

$\displaystyle (x^2-1)(x+7)$

$\displaystyle x^3+7x^2-x-7$ - Oct 20th 2009, 12:50 PMrelichunter09
