    word problem help

a parking garage charges $0.75 for each half hour (or part thereof) for the first hour, $1.00 for each additional hour (or part thereof), and $16.00 daily maximum. If the cost C(t) is a funtion of the time parked, graph C(t)

any help with what equations i need to use would be great. Thanks!

this will be a step function ...

    $\displaystyle C = .75$ , $\displaystyle 0 < t \le 0.5$

    $\displaystyle C = 1.50$ , $\displaystyle 0.5 < t \le 1$

    $\displaystyle C = 2.50$ , $\displaystyle 1 < t \le 2$

    $\displaystyle C = 3.50$ , $\displaystyle 2 < t \le 3$

    $\displaystyle C = 4.50$ , $\displaystyle 3 < t \le 4$

    and so on until $\displaystyle C = 16$
