    word problem help

    a parking garage charges $0.75 for each half hour (or part thereof) for the first hour, $1.00 for each additional hour (or part thereof), and $16.00 daily maximum. If the cost C(t) is a funtion of the time parked, graph C(t)

    any help with what equations i need to use would be great. Thanks!

    this will be a step function ...

    C = .75 , 0 < t \le 0.5

    C = 1.50 , 0.5 < t \le 1

    C = 2.50 , 1 < t \le 2

    C = 3.50 , 2 < t \le 3

    C = 4.50 , 3 < t \le 4

    and so on until C = 16
