I think I know how to do this but having trouble getting started.

Write an equation of a function g(x) in terms of f(x) if the graph of g is obtained when the graph of f is reflected across the x-axis, vertically stretched by a factor of 3, shifted 7 units to the right and 9 units upward.

Any help getting me started would be great, thanks!

The best thing to do is to take things one step at a time and then put it all together at the end. So I'll break your question up into smaller more manageable questions and then hopefully you can answer them all individually .

1) Suppose h(x) is formed by reflecting f(x) in the x-axis. Write h(x) in terms of f(x)

2) m(x) is formed by vertically stretching f(x) by a factor of 3. Write m(x) in terms of f(x).

3) t(x) is formed by shifting f(x) 7 units to the right. Write t(x) in terms of f(x).

4) v(x) is formed by shifting f(x) 9 units upwards. Write v(x) in terms of f(x).

Remember to treat each question separately and individually. That way, if you get stuck on one it will be easier to help you than if you just tried all of the original question in one go!
