Thread: Zeros....help please?

Applying the rational zeros test to a function produces a list of possible rational zeros.

Is it possible that the function has zeros in the real number system which are not listed from a rational zero test?

Is it possible that the function has zeros in teh real number systen which are not listed in a rational zero test or in the the above question as well?

Hi m1ssmath,

The zeros may be Real and irrational. The rational zero test will not help you there.

The only other possibility would be if the curve or part of the curve did not cross the x-axis at all indicating some or all of the zeros are imaginary.
