1. ## Solving inequalities

Write the solutions in interval notations.
a) 0 < absolute( 2x + 1) < 7
b) absolute ( 4 - 7x) less than or equal to 1.9

How do I solve inequalities with absolute values in them
Any help is appreciated !

Ouch! They were supposed to explain that to you before they assigned questions on it!

To learn how to solve absolute-value inequalities, try here. (I am assuming that you're familiar with regular linear inequalities and with how absolute values work.)

Once you've studied the basic terms and techniques, please attempt the exercises. If you get stuck, you can then reply with a clear listing of your steps and reasoning so far.

Thank you!

Thank you. I also have one quick question; when do you switch the signs? Like the directions. Is it when you divide both sides by sth or multiply?
