    Divide out the common factor of 3:

    (x^3 - x^2 - 2x) /(2x^2 - 5x + 2)

    Factorise the numerator and denominator:

    Numerator = x (x^2 - x - 2) = x (x ____)(x ___)

    Denominator = (2x ___)(x ____)

    The blanks are left for you to fill out.

    Cancel common factors.
