1. Inverse Of Fuctions

Hello anyone who may read this.

I am currently having trouble grasping the concept of the inverse of fuctions.

Take the problem: f(x)= 2/x-1
For Instance
I know you should switch the x and the y.. so I have

x= 2/y-1

From here is where I get lost.. I just don't understand how to get Y alone..

Any help is appreciated.

=> x(y - 1) = 2

=> xy - x = 2

=> xy = 2 + x

=> y = (2 + x)/x

3. So you can just divide out the X even tho it is being mult by the Y? (XY)
