    Function Question

    How do I solve this?

    Given h(x) == {(4,2),(0,1),(-2,5)} determine h(-2)

    h(x)=y which can be represented by the point (x,y), so the points in your set are of the form (x,h(x)) so h(-2) is the value where the corresponding x value is -2

    You must know that all the blue numbers are the elements of the domain of h and all the red ones are in the range of h. And x in h(x) is an element of domain of h. So you must find the ordered pair wich has the domain
    x=-2, and that is (-2,5).
    Therefore h(-2)=5.
