    would this be a circle?

    i am not exactly sure what this function is? and how would i graph it?

    y^2-2x-20y+94=0

    i do think that this is a circle but what to do with the 2x?
    thank you!

    Circle has x^2 + y^2 = R^2

    Do you have an x^2 term?

    you do realize that there are other conics besides a circle?

    if your equation is correct, then it's a parabola ...

    y^2 - 20y + 100 = 2x + 6

    (y-10)^2 = 2(x+3)

    \frac{1}{2}(y-10)^2 = x+3

    x = \frac{1}{2}(y-10)^2 - 3

    nope there is no x^2 term
    maybe it is another conic then?

    conic sections include circles, ellipses, parabolas, and hyperbolas.
