Sorry if this is the most elementary question ever, but hey, I gotta know

Is the number 2.3 even or odd?

If n is an integer,
Can you write 2.3 as (2n+1)? (If yes, odd).
Can you write 2.3 as (2n)? (If yes, even).

Both are "no".

2.3 is a decimal number?
If so the question doesn't make sense

Neither. The concept of even and odd only apply to the integers.
