how do i prove BIET's formula for the fibonacci sequence?

1. Stop using Text abbreviations, its rude in an academic environment.

2. It's Binet's formula, and an explanation is given on PlanetMath, the method is the bog-standard method of solving a second order constant coefficient homogeneous linear recurence.
