    primitive root indices question

    If a and b satisfy the relation ab = = 1 (mod p).

    If a and b satisfy the relation a + b = = 0 (modp)

    If a and b satisfy the relation a+b = = 1(mod p)

Is there a theorem or proof that shows how a and b are related? Or how would show their indices are related?
