(4)-(10^-(x/2))=1/3 i was thinking of taking logs of both sides or putting e^of.... in but i'm looking at it & just confusing myself over it

$\displaystyle 10^{-x/2}=\frac{11}{3}$ $\displaystyle \frac{-x}{2}=\log_{10} \left(\frac{11}{3}\right)$ $\displaystyle x=-2 \cdot \log_{10} \left(\frac{11}{3}\right)$
