Hello, I have to find the value of 21^(-37) in F_31.

My work, if anyone can confirm it:

21^(-37)=(21^(-1))^37=3^37=3^36*3=(3^12)^3 * 3=8^3*3=1536=17

i concur...21^(-37) = (21^(-1))^(37) = 3^37 = 3^7 = (3^4)(3^3) = (19)(27) = 17 (513 = 16*31 + 17)
