A large gear is used to turn a smaller gear. The large gear has 60 teeth and makes 12 revs/min; the smaller gear has 24 teeth. How fast does the smaller gear turn...explain your reasoning.

can someone please tell me if my reasoning is correct here? 60 teeth/24 teeth= 5/2 so the smaller gear is going 5/2 *12 revs/min = 30 revs/min
anybody know...is this right?
