    Congruency

    I am having trouble with this problem:

    987x Ξ 610 (mod 1597)

    Note that 610 = -987 (mod 1597)

    So
    987x = -987 (mod 1597)

    x = -1 (mod 1597)

    x = 1596 (mod 1597)
