A standard deck of 52 cards contains 4 aces. What is the probability of randomly drawing a card that is not an ace?

Suppose that $\large\mathscr{P}(A)$ is the probability of drawing an ace then $\large 1-\mathscr{P}(A)$ is the probability of not drawing an ace.

There are 52 cards in the deck and 4 of them are aces. So 52- 4= 48 are "not aces". The probability a card drawn at random (all cards being equally likely) is 48/52= 12/13.
