I really need help with this question, i've posted 2 other posts but i've managed to solve them thanks to some help this is the only one i cant do at all, any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

The problem says "revenue equals articles sold * price of article". Have you multiplied those?

Yes, you do.

The confusion here may arise from the fact that the asterisk symbol: * is being used to indicate multiplication.

So:
"The revenue £R thousand accruing from selling d thousand articles is calculated by:
revenue equals articles sold * price of article"

means:
"The revenue £R thousand accruing from selling d thousand articles is calculated by:
revenue equals articles sold $\times$ price of article"

I deplore the use of * to mean "multiplied by" outside of the context of computer languages.
