    Firs Time post.

Hey guys, its my first time posting here, i plan on sticking around for a while because ive bin wanting to create an account here for a while now so now ive finally done it.
Im currently teaching myself calculus by using a textbook from a friend and a class outline of chapters. From time to time i may have some questions (which i currently do) and id also like to help out some others who i may be able to.

    Hello, "Comedia".

Welcome to the Math Help forums. We are glad you joined us.

I am curious: what is your background? Are you a high-school student? A university student? What made you decide to learn calculus from a textbook? Are you preparing for an upcoming course?
Learning from a textbook is possible, but it goes a lot easier when you have a support group around you (i.e. - a teacher and classmates).

Hope it works out for you.

    See you around the forums.
    Thanks from topsquark

    Re: Firs Time post.

Im a university student and i have already taken differential calculus but it wasn't until the january semester.
Due to my current situation i cant afford to take integral calculus during the summer so i will have to wait till next year but i decided to learn it on my own during the summer anyways so it will be more polished and just a breeze when i take the course the following year.
Im not doing all too much this summer any ways so i thought why not haha. Im already about half through the outline.

    Hi Comedia,

I've done first-year university mathematics many years ago, and now I'm interested in reviewing the whole thing, and identifying solution patterns to common problems. I've already done quite a bit of work on Linear Algebra, but I'll soon be working on Calculus.

Since that's what you're trying to study on your own, please feel free to drop me a line if you have some questions. I would do my best to help if I could.
