    calc/physics question

please help, thanks!- A body moves in such a way that the space described in the time t is given by y=t^n, where n is a constant. find the value of n when the velocity is doubled from the 5th to 10th second.

    Re: calc/physics question

get the first derivative dy/dt which is the velocity . replace in the formula of the velocity the values of t=5 and t=10 and put v10 = 2v5 as you specified.
solve the equation to get n=2.... you have to solve an exponential equation but it is easy. try it and show us your work
