Noob question on posting forum posts

Howdy, I've been on the forum for a while now but I am not sure how to insert equations into my posts.

For example I normally type things out like (x^2 + 13)/(x+5), and I've seen most users able to make it look a lot nicer by putting it in like a picture type format.

Could someone explain or direct me to the thread on this please?

The site is equipped with LaTeX...That's what many members use. We have a LaTeX help forum. It's fairly easy to work with once you get used to it.
