My name is Gabe. I'm a PhD student. Turns out the questions that get me the most excited involve quite a bit of mathematical modeling! The only catch is its been over a decade since I've done anything any math other than my taxes and some basic algebra. Rather than be deterred I'm trying to relearn many of the skills I've lost.
Two of the books I've picked up to work through are:
Quick Calculus (2nd Ed) by Ramsey and Kleppner
The Humongous Book of Calculus Problems by Kelley
Other suggestions are welcome! Hope I can help people as well in the future.
