Thread: Math rocks!!!

Hello,

My name is Maria and I'm here because I decided to pursue a college degree after having lost my job to economic downfall. Though I have been fortunate with good paying jobs, it does not compare to the fact that seeing me work through school and enjoying it, my children (23, 18, 8) garners new respect for education.

At my age of near 50, I should be planning for retirement but instead, I plan to renew my career. Why college as of late? Well, I chose to raise my kids instead and damn proud of what they have become. That's more than any money in the world. Now that my two eldest are in college, I felt it's long over due.

i plan to major in Mathematics (fingers crossed) and I am happy to have stumbled on to this website.

Nice meeting all of you and hats off to all the math wiz out there! You make it possible for us to learn more from your bottomless pool of knowledge.

And by the way, studying math is an organic way of defeating alzheimer and dementia. Math rocks!!!
