calculator and computer
Im doing a simple research to find out which device is better for calculations

Valueof π
On scientific calculator = 3.141592654
on computer calculator =
 3.14159

How do I find percent error?

And would this difference have any impact on calculation. An example would be nice:) thanks

Re: calculator and computer
Those values are the same! I don't think that it'd be wise to try to such example as an argument in your research. Unless you want to argue that in computer you get more decimals and that makes your calculations more precise. However, as I said, those two are 99.99 % the same!

Re: calculator and computer
My computer says
$\pi \approx 3.141592653589793238462643383279502884197169399375 105820974944592307816406286$

Of course, I cheated and used Mathematica. :)
