    probability

    3 people are picked at random what's the probability that all 3 will have different birthdays.?
    NB take all months to be equally likely
    ans=55/72 please explain!

    I think you mean what is the probability that their birthdays will be in different months.

    It doesn't matter what month the first person's birthday is in. The second person has 11 months their birthday may be in, and the third person has 10 months their birthday can be in. So we have:

    P(X)=\frac{11}{12}\cdot\frac{10}{12}=\frac{55}{72}
