    how to find train speed?

    Q

    A man is standing on a railway bridge which is 180m long. He finds that a train crosses the bridge in 20seconds but himself in 8 seconds. Find the length of the train and its speed.

    Speed = Distance/Time
    Speed of train = 180/20 = 9m/s

    Length of train:
    Distance(length of train) = Speed x Time
    Length of train = 9 x 8 = 72 m
