Hi I need some help with a probability problem.

I need to know the answer and if possible the process for finding the answer to the following problem:

What is the probability that a ten child family will include 5 boys ina row?

I really would like to know what the possible number of favourable events there are and if someone can take the time - the actual combinations in a 10 child family.

Thanks for the help.

Re: Hi I need some help with a probability problem.

Does not matter how many kids a family has.

Prob(1st=boy)=.51

Prob(2nd=boy)=.51

Prob(3rd=boy)=.51

Prob(4th=boy)=.51

Prob(5th=boy)=.51

Prob(1&2&3&4&5=boy)=0.51^5=.034503
