    New here. Need help with using the forum.

    Hi everyone! I'm kinda new here, and don't think I'm using the forum effectively. I'm just wondering, how do you insert equations in to posts? I see a lot of posts with things like: and I have no idea how to construct things like that. A little help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Hello, miguel11795!

    Welcome aboard!

    You should learn to use LaTeX.
    Near the bottom of the opening page click on "LaTeX Help".
    You'll find a set of tutorials.

    You type the code between [tex] and [/tex].

    Some simple examples . . .

    [tex]x^2-3x-10[/tex] returns: x^2-3x-10

    [tex]\frac{x}{7}[/tex] returns: \frac{x}{7}

    [tex]\sqrt{x-4}[/tex] returns: \sqrt{x-4}

    Have fun!
    Thanks from miguel11795
