    Unhappy square numbers and algerbra. Please help!

    this is a GCSE top set question please help if you can!

    Any square number which is even, is always a multiple of 4. explain why using algerbra

    all even numbers can be written in the form 2k , where k is an integer.

    so ... what can you say about (2k)^2 ?
