$\displaystyle \begin{align*} t_n = a + (n-1)d \end{align*}$ and $\displaystyle \begin{align*} S_n = \frac{n}{2}[2a + (n-1)d] \end{align*}$ or $\displaystyle \begin{align*} S_n = \frac{n}{2}( a + l ) \end{align*}$ .
