    Hi! Please help solve the problem below..
    A triangle is made from the coordinate axes and the line 4x+5y+p=0 . The area of the triangle is 10 square units. What is the value of p?

    Solving for the x & y intercepts then applying the formula for the area of a triangle you should get

    10 = \frac{1}{2} \times \frac{-p}{4} \times \frac{-p}{5}
