New User Alert :)
Hello,
I'm a 35yo husband and father and have recently begun taking math in an effort to go back for my degree. However, it is much harder than I ever remember it being in the past. Perhaps I just don't remember like I used to, or perhaps it really is harder. Over the summer I am taking a probability and statistics course and I am sad to say that it is not making any sense to me. I am hoping that I can get some relief on these boards and math is somehow translated to how I can understand it. Best wishes!

Re: New User Alert :)
Hello! I'm a 33 year old male who is also a new user here taking engineering calculus. I starting going back to school when I was 31. I find as an adult you have more of a drive to do well in the course and you are wanting to understand theorems at a more fundamental level. I've also found the calculus not an issue so much as the algebra. My weak algebra skills I obtained in high school have hurt me more than anything. I find myself making silly mistakes all the time where it's second nature to the kids I study around.
