Teaching an old dog new tricks

Hi there I'm Lu, and once upon a time I was very good at math, algebra, that is... and I've returned to college after a 30+ year break and man oh man things have changed! Algebra has changed, like it wasn't complex enough they had to go creating matrices... and who'd a thought I'd ever have to complete a square anywhere except art class? So, I'll be perusing the board to see if I can find enough information to help me pass the final.
Thank you in advance for any help you offer!
