I went to art school but I use a lot of math in both of my jobs. In my day job at Dreamworks Animation where I work as a Character TD on films like Kung Fu Panda 2,
and more importantly I use a lot of math in my second job, CEO and Lead Programmer of my own Game Development studio Winterkewl Games.
I do both of those things simultaneously, and as I mentioned I didn't go to a traditional university, I went to Ringling School of Art and Design, which taught me a
great deal about art, but very little about math. As a programmer I find my lack of education in the Higher Mathematics holds me back a great deal, so over the past
year I've really been trying to learn as much as I can, specifically about Vectors and Matrices but really anything related to the field of Computer Graphics and Math.
I'm glad to have found your forums! I know I'll sound like a total N00b most of the time, and I hope you all will forgive a beginner some beginner mistakes!
Anyway, nice to meet you all! I look forward to learning as much as I can from all of your great posts!
