I was scavenging questions from old threads and found this. Well, since the homework is already 6 years-late, it's okay to give some full answers, right? Dan told me that necro-posting is allowed, after all.

1. f(-3) = (-3)3- (-3)2 + 2(-3) = -27 - 9 - 6 = -42 (A)

2. Slope = (- 2 - (-4))/(3 - (-3)) = (-2 + 4)/(3 + 3) = 2/6 = 1/3 (D)

4. 4x + 8y = 7 and 3x + 4y = 6
4x + 8y = 7 and 6x + 8y = 12
Subtract them, you get -2x = -5
x = 5/2
4(5/2) + 8y = 7
10 + 8y = 7
8y = -3
y = -3/8 (A)
