Welcome to the MHF family, happy to have you here with us!
Congrads on graduating! Are you done with school or will you be going back for more?
What led you towards a path in biological science?
I'm a recent college biological science grad from a public university in California. I am 25 years old, live in the bay area, love science (obviously, except organic chemistry, bc that is the devil) and I have always had a special place in my heart for mathematics I can probably help out anyone who is in high school, college calculus and college statistics. I would also really just like to learn from everyone elses posts!
Right now I am just finishing up some pre reqs to apply to optometry school because my major didn't require me to take Anatomy and Physiology, so I am taking it at a local community college. I will more than likely be going into Optometry 8), hopefully by next year.
I have always been really passionate about helping people and going into health care. Dentists scare me, so that was a no go! M.D. would be a TON of time and work (even though I have seriously considered it). I wear glasses and I really liked the field of Optometry, I have shadowed several doctors already and even gone on a mission trip to a foreign country to help people in need. So that had a huge impact on what I chose as my major because most of the pre reqs for Optometry school landed within the major and I was already really science oriented
