Re: こにちわ!(my introduction)
Welcome to the MHF family, happy to have you here with us!
You mentioned being bored in your current math coursework... does your school provide or offer any sort of advanced or honors classes you can take? When I was in high school, granted this was a really long time ago, I tried to get into PreCal as early as I could, which gave me a good foundation moving forward.
And I gotta ask... what sparked the passion for Roman history?
Re: こにちわ!(my introduction)
Unfortunately, not until Junior year, when we can take a test to try to make it into Advanced Calculus. But I hope to take classes at a local community college in a few years (you have to be 16) but until then, nothing.
My interest for roman history was sparked when I was about 7 or 8, when my dad bought me a game called "Rome: Total War". I memorized all the factions on it and started looking up some of them on google.
Then a few years later I ran across one of my favorite books I have ever read. It's called Nero's Killing Machine and follows a roman legion through 200 years or so of combat.
It's really a pleasure subject for me. I just read about what seems interesting. I know a lot more about battle strategies the Romans used than I know about when a certain emperor ruled or such.
